TIPS IN REMOVING GALL BLADDER STONE

GALL BLADDER STONE REMOVAL -
The Natural Way by Dr Lai Chiu-Nan

It has worked for many. If it works for you please pass on the good news.
Chiu Nan is not charging for it, so we should make it free for everyone.
Your reward is when someone, through your word of mouth, benefits from
the regime.

Gallstones may not be everyone's concern. But they should be because
we all have them. Moreover, gallstones may lead to cancer.

"Cancer is never the first illness," Chiu Nan points out. "Usually,
there are a lot of other problems leading to cancer. In my research in
China, I came across some materials, which say that people with cancer
usually have stones.

We all have gallstones. It's a matter of big or small, many or few.
One of the symptoms of gallstones is a feeling of bloatedness after a
heavy meal.

You feel like you can't digest the food. If it gets more serious, you
feel pain in the liver area." So if you think you have gallstones, Chiu Nan
offers the following method to remove them naturally. The treatment is
also good for those with weak liver, because the liver and gallbladder
are closely linked.

Regimen:

*For the first five days, take four glasses of apple juice every day.
Or eat four or five apples, whichever you prefer. Apple juice softens
the gallstones. During the five days, eat normally.

*On the sixth day, take no dinner. At 6 pm, take a teaspoon of Epsom
salt (magnesium sulphate) with a glass of warm water. Magnesium
sulfate could be bought from the pharmacy.

* At 8 pm, repeat the same. Magnesium sulphate opens the gallbladder ducts.

* At 10 pm, take half-cup olive oil (or sesame oil) with half cup
fresh lemon juice. Mix it well and drink it. The oil lubricates the
stones to ease their passage.

The next morning, you will find green stones in your stools. "Usually
they float," Chiu Nan notes. "You might want to count them. I have had
people who pass 40, 50 or up to 100 stones. That s a lot..! "Even if
you don't have any symptoms of gallstones, you still might have some.
It's always good to give your gall bladder a clean up now and then.

Recommended period: Do it once a year!

My officemate tried this method after I post this info at our bulletin
board, very thankful that she found the natural method--- she was
about to undergo a laparascopic procedure, but she postponed it when
she experienced relief by doing the above method.

CareTips for Toes

Summer Care Tips for Toes

(NAPSA) —As the warm weather arrives,

toes that have been kept well covered for

many months start to make their

appearance for the first time.

Many people wonder how to get their toes into tiptop condition

for the summer. The American Podiatric Medical Association

(APMA) offers these summer foot care tips:

• Treat your feet well:

Massage them, soak them in lukewarm

water and keep them elevated for ten minutes

a day to take some of the stress off your

circulatory system.

• Trim toenails straight across,

leaving nails slightly longer than the ends

of your toes. It is best to trim nails every

three to four weeks after a shower or bath.

• To moisturize the feet, apply vitamin E

cream at the end of the day.

• Remember your feet when applying sunscreen

—especially the tops. Apply a broad spectrum

(UVA/UVB-blocking) sunscreen with an SPF

of at least 15.

• If you get a professional pedicure be sure

the establishment that you are visiting is clean

and has licensed technicians.

• Bring your own equipment/ tools, including

emery boards, pumice stones, cuticle clippers,

buffers, etc. Using your own equipment will

ensure the tools are clean and will decrease the chances of fungus infections.

• DO NOT have the technician scrape your feet.

It is against the law to use razors/credo blades

/callus blades to remove dead skin from the bottom

of the feet, heels, toes, etc. If technicians go too deep, they can cause serious infections.

• If you have pedicures frequently, have toenails

filed rather than clipped.

• If you are polishing toenails to disguise thick

or discolored nails, you are likely making an existing

problem worse. Nail polish does not allow the nail to

breathe. If nails are thick and discolored, consult

with a podiatric physician.

• Keep nail polish on for a short period of time.

Caring for your Camera

Camera care is important if you want to keep your camera ‘snappy’!
Prevention costs less than a cure, and the suggestions on this page can help prevent premature service expenses.

PROTECT IT FROM HEAT!
Protecting your camera and lenses from heat really is important. Extreme heat, such as occurs within a car that has been parked in the sun, can cause the plastic moldings to distort, the film to discolour, and fine electronic connections can fail. In particular, heat causes the lubricants in the camera or lens to become soft and often turn liquid.
The lubricants then migrate into places that must be perfectly dry. Now add a little dust and we have a perfect mixture to contaminate the shutter and aperture blades, as well as the functional contacts and switches. This in turn causes erratic operation, poor exposure, and even complete failure.
Cleaning for oil and dust contamination is a major service, so simple preventative measures may be in order in this hot climate of ours.
If you can’t avoid storing your photographic equipment in a vehicle for a short time, make sure it is well protected. An insulated container (an Esky in Australia) is ideal (but NO ice), out of direct sunlight and preferably covered with a blanket.

IMPORTANT BATTERY KNOWLEDGE!
With the multitude of batteries available, there is obviously a type for every purpose. When it comes to cameras this is especially true and using the correct type is important.
The battery is the smallest cost of your camera, but it can be the cause of a high repair cost if it leaks and causes corrosion damage to the circuit.
By using only the recommended type, purchased fresh from a specialist dealer or service center, you can greatly minimize any risk. Check your manual or ask us for details about the best type to use in your particular camera or equipment. As a rule this means using Alkaline or Lithium batteries to drive motors and flash guns, and Silver Oxide batteries in models where button type cells are required for the meter or shutter operation.
Never mix new batteries with old batteries, and never mix one type or brand with another.
Replace exhausted batteries promptly and have the battery compartment cleaned and treated for oxide regularly. Avoid touching the battery contacts as this promotes oxide and corrosion. If touched, wipe them clean before inserting them into the camera. Methylated spirit on a cotton tip is ideal.
LOW COST LENS PROTECTION!
There’s no cheaper insurance against lens damage than fitting a good filter. As well as protecting your lens against scratches and marks, a filter can actually improve the colour rendition of your pictures.
Try a Skylight filter general protection and colour improvement, or an all purpose Polarizing filter to remove reflections and greatly improve colours.
One word of caution - do not buy a cheap filter to put on a good lens. You don’t want to reduce you image quality. A filter should be MULTI-COATED, that is, it should match the lens quality. And while talking filter you should consider also adding a lens hood!
ADDING A LENS HOOD!
There’s a good reason why all professional photographers use a large lens hood on their lenses. If you have no shading on your lens or filter you easily get reflections (diffused patches) on your photos, especially if the sun is not behind you.
With of lens hood you can take pictures with the sun nearly in front of you. A lens hood is a very low cost for a great additional benefit - and it looks professional.
CLEANING LENSES
Step 1: Using a soft small paint brush or an Air Puffer Bulb, brush/puff away any loose particles, grit or dust, from the surface of the lens. It’s a good idea to aim the lens downwards while you brush.
Step 2: Apply a drop or two of Lens Cleaning fluid to a Lens Tissue (or quality cotton tip - e.g. Dove brand), never directly to the lens - you don’t want liquid seeping into the lens - and gently wipe the surface clean.
Step 3: Let the lens surface dry, then fog the lens with your breath, and polish after with the tissue or cloth. When you breathe on the lens you can actually tell if it is properly clean - it will exhibit even fogging over the entire surface.
THE MIRROR AND FOCUSING SCREEN:
Dust particles may accumulate on the reflex mirror and on the focusing screen in SLR cameras. In the viewfinder, tiny specs may look like rocks, but they don’t actually do any harm. Debris seen in the viewfinder is just dust particles that have found their way onto the focusing screen - they will not appear on the film.
The focusing screen is delicate and if you cannot clean it by merely blow-dusting it with a Puffer Bulb through the lens mouth, you should probably leave cleaning to the repair shop.
Under no circumstance touch the focusing screen or apply any liquid to it.
A dusty reflex mirror can be gently wiped clean with a cotton tip moistened with lens cleaner or your breath. Just remember that the surface is very soft since the silvering is on the front (unlike conventional mirrors which are silvered on the back). Small scratches can easily happen, but are usually of no consequence and not visible in the finder.
Dust inside viewfinders of compact zoom cameras may be a nuisance, but does no harm, and cleaning can only be performed when the camera is dismantled.
We have available lens cleaning supplies which includes professional products as used in our workshop - see our WebShop Supplies page.

Asthma Tips

Don't Let Asthma Keep You Out of the Game

Getting regular physical activity can improve your breathing, and lead to fewer asthma attacks. Just remember to follow these tips.
(In fact, this is good advice for everyone, not just those with asthma.)
Ease into it.
Start your workout with a warm-up, and don't overdo it by running five miles on your first day if you get winded walking around the block! Finish up with a cool-down.
Take a buddy.
It's more fun and a friend can help if you get into trouble.
Respect your bod.Stay away from the things that trigger your asthma. Help out your airways by breathing through your nose instead of your mouth. Take it easy on days when your asthma symptoms are really bugging you. And stick to the medicine routine that your doctor has set up.
Take breaks.
Treat yourself to rest and drink plenty of water.
Mix it up.
For example, try going inline skating one day and taking a long walk the next.

Feel GoodTo feel your best, do the right stuff to control your asthma. And listen to your doctors — they're on your team!

According to Dr. Stephen Redd, an asthma expert at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), people with asthma "should expect to live a life that really isn't affected by asthma, except for having to follow the directions." He also says to speak up if you are having symptoms, and remember to "keep a good attitude and keep working to control the disease."

(Wanna read the full disease detective profile?) So, get out there and get moving! With good habits and today's medicines, you can go for the gold — or just join your friends on the basketball court, in the pool, on the dance floor...

Mumps Virus

Daily HealthBeat Tip

It’s mumps!

Mumps has been spreading in some states in the Midwest, notably Iowa, among people 18 to 25 years old. Mostly, the virus causes conditions such as fever, headache and swollen glands. Rarely, it can lead to more serious problems such as deafness and meningitis. Death is a possibility.
People can get immunized against mumps, in a two-shot series that also covers measles and rubella. The shots usually are given in childhood. Vaccination is about 80 percent effective after one shot, and 90 percent after two.
The director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Dr. Julie Gerberding:
"Vaccination is the best way to prevent mumps, but it does take two doses to have the best protection. If you're not sure your vaccinations are up to date, please check with your doctor."

Arthritis in Motion

Daily HealthBeat Tip

Working the joints!!

People who have arthritis need to keep their joints in motion – staying active helps to reduce their pain and slows the progression of the disease. But research finds people often don’t.
Jennifer Hootman of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reviewed CDC survey data.
The study in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine found people with arthritis are less active than those without arthritis. And 44 percent of people with arthritis don’t get any physical activity.
Hootman says they should get at least 30 minutes a day, at least three times a week, of activity that’s easy on the joints – maybe in 10-minute segments.
"And this makes it easier for people with arthritis to do because they can do 10 minutes and not get their joints inflamed, and later on in the day do another 10 minutes, and so on."

Headaches in Kids

Daily HealthBeat Tip

Headaches in kids can be signs of trouble.

Researcher Tara Strine of HHS' Centers for Disease Control and Prevention looked at parents' reports in 2003 of whether their children had frequent or severe headaches. Her study was in the American Academy of Pediatrics' journal, Pediatrics.
Kids with headaches were more likely to have emotional and social problems including trouble concentrating and getting along with other kids. And headaches were common:
"Six-point-seven percent, or approximately 3.7 million children, experienced frequent or severe headaches in the past 12 months."
Strine says professional help is a wise choice. Kids also can talk with parents or, if not a parent, school counselors, about stresses in their lives. And kids can do some things themselves – among them, deep breathing and muscle relaxation.

Strine added that there are some things that children can do themselves to ease the pain of frequent or severe headaches:
A: "We encourage children to engage in relaxation techniques such as deep breathing, muscle relaxation and meditation. These tools have been found to be effective treatment for reoccurring headaches."

Ten Tips for Car Care

Follow this
10-point checklist for safety, dependability and fuel economy.

• Tire Care: If you have winter tires, it's time to store them away. If you don't have winter tires, it's equally important to have all-season tires rotated or switched out for new ones.
• Brakes: After a blistering winter, be sure to check your brakes. Warning signs include excessive grinding, squealing, screeching or chatter.
• Wiper Blades: Wipers work hard over the winter months wiping away dirt and debris on your windshield. Replace them in the spring before April showers make it difficult to see.
• Clean the Underbody: In addition to washing the exterior, be sure to spray the underbody of your vehicle and underneath the rear and front bumpers to rinse away any salt build-up, which can lead to erosion and rusting. Use a high-pressure sprayer or garden hose for best results.
• Apply a Protectant: Any vinyl surface, such as the seats and the steering wheel, is susceptible to cracking, sun damage, and fading -- so be sure to apply a protectant at the beginning of the season and touch-up regularly.
• Change Your Oil: Give some thought to the kind of motor oil you have in your engine. Fully synthetic oils are specifically designed to protect your engine in hot weather, while optimizing your engine's efficiency and performance.
• Check All Fluids: In the winter months, fluids are easily depleted as your engine works harder in the colder weather. Make sure to check, top off or replace all fluids, including brake, transmission, coolant, power steering and windshield washer fluid.
• Pressure Test: Assess the pressure of the cooling system, and examine belts and hoses for wear or deterioration.
• Interior Clean-Up: Vacuum and be sure to throw away any unwanted garbage that has hibernated under your seats over the winter. Now is also the time to store your winter car mats in the garage.
• Wash Your Car: All vehicles regardless of the finish (clear coat, acrylic, enamel, etc.) require regular washing throughout the year. To preserve your car's shine and protect the surface, wax your vehicle once it has dried completely.

A Needle Can Save the LIFE of a STROKE PATIENT

First Aid for Stroke
Keep a syringe or needle in your home to do this... It's amazing and an unconventional way of recovering from stroke, read it through it can help somebody 1 day.

This is amazing, if it works. Please keep this very handy... Excellent tips. Do take a minute to read this. You'll never know. One's life may depend on you.

When stroke strikes, the capillaries in the brain will gradually burst. When a stroke occurs, stay calm. No matter where the victim is, do not move him/her. Because, if moved, the capillaries will burst. Help the victim to sit up where h e is to prevent him from falling over again, and then the bloodletting can begin. If you have in your home an injection syringe that would be the best, otherwise, a sewing needle or a straight pin will do. Place the needle/pin over fire to sterilize it, and then use it to prick the tip of all 10 fingers. There are no specific acupuncture points, just prick about a mm from the fingernail. Prick till blood comes out. If blood does not start to drip, then squeeze with your fingers. When all 10 digits is bleeding, wait a few minutes then the victim will regain consciousness.

If the victim's mouth is crooked, then pull on his ears until they are red. Then prick each ear lobe twice until two drops of blood comes from each ear lobe. After a few minutes the victim should regain consciousness.

Wait till the victim regain his normal state without any abnormal symptoms then take him to the hospital, otherwise, if he was taken in the ambulance in a hurry to the hospital, the bumpy trip will cause all the capillaries in his brain to burst. If he could save his life, barely managing to walk, then it is by the grace of his ancestors.

I learned about letting blood to save life from Chinese traditional doctor Ha Bu-Ting who lives in Sun-Juke. Furthermore, I had practical experience with it. Therefore I can say this method is 100% effective. In 1979, I was teaching in Fung-Gaap College in Tai-Chung. One afternoon I was teaching class when another teacher came running to my class room and said in panting, "Mr. Liu, come quick, our supervisor has had a stroke!" I
immediately went to the 3rd floor. When I saw our supervisor, Mr.Chen Fu-Tien, his color was off, his speech was slurred, his mouth was crooked-all the symptoms of a stroke.
I immediately asked one of the practicum students to go to the pharmacy outside the school to buy a syringe, which I used to prick Mr. Chen's 10 fingers tips. When all 10 fingers were bleeding (each with a pea-sized
drop of blood), after a few minutes, Mr. Chen's face regained its color and his eyes' spirit returned, too. But his mouth was still crooked. So I pulled on his ears to fill them with blood. When his ears became red, I pricked his right earlobe twice to let out 2 drops of blood. When both earlobes had two drops of blood each, a miracle happened. Within 3-5 minutes the shape of his mouth returned to normal and his speech became clear. We let him rest for a while and hav e a cup of hot tea, then we helped him go down the stairs, drove him to Wei-Wah Hospital. He rested one night and was released the next day to return to school to teach.
Everything worked normally. There were no ill after-effects. On the other hand, the usual stroke victim usually suffers irreparable bursting of the brain capillaries on the way to the hospital. As a result, these victims
never recover.

Therefore stroke is the second cause of death. The lucky ones will stay alive but can remain paralyzed for life.

It is such a horrible thing to happen in one's life. If we can all remember this bloodletting method and start the life-saving process immediately, in a short time, the victim will be revived and regain 100%
normality. We hope you can tell others about this first aid method. By doing so, stroke may be removed from the list of major causes of death.

Tips to Cure Dengue

Dear All

I would like to share this interesting discovery from a classmate's son who has just recovered from dengue fever. Apparently, his son was in the critical stage at the SJMC ICU when his pallet counts drops to 15 after 15 litres of blood transfusion.

His father was so worried that he seek another friend's recommendation and his son was saved. He confessed to me that he give his son raw juice of the papaya leaves. From a pallet count of 45 after 20 litres of blood transfusion, and after drinking the raw papaya leaf juice, his pallet count jumps instantly to 135. Even the doctors and nurses were surprised. After the second day he was discharged. So he ask me to pass this good news around.

Accordingly it is raw papaya leaves, 2pcs just cleaned and pound and squeeze with filter cloth. You will only get one tablespoon per leaf. So two tablespoon per serving once a day. Do not boil or cook or rinse with hot water, it will loose its strength. Only the leafy part and no stem or sap. It is very bitter and you have to swallow it like Won Low Kat. But it works.

Papaya Juice - Cure for Dengue

You may have heard this elsewhere but if not I am glad to inform you that papaya juice is a natural cure for dengue fever. As dengue fever is rampant now, I think it's good to share this with all.

A friend of mine had dengue last year. It was a very serious situation for her as her platelet count had dropped to 28,000 after 3 days in hospital and water has started to fill up her lung. She had difficulty in breathing. She was only 32-year old. Doctor says there's no cure for dengue. We just have to wait for her body immune system to build up resistance against dengue and fight its own battle. She already had 2 blood transfusion and all of us were praying very hard as her platelet continued to drop since the first day she was admitted.

Fortunately her mother-in-law heard that papaya juice would help to reduce the fever and got some papaya leaves, pounded them and squeeze the juice out for her. The next day, her platelet count started to increase, her fever subside. We continued to feed her with papaya juice and she recovered after 3 days!!! Amazing but it's true. It's believed one's body would be overheated when one is down with dengue and that also caused the patient to have fever. papaya juice has cooling effect. Thus, it helps to reduce the hotness in one's body, thus the fever will go away. I found that its also good when one is having sore throat or suffering from hotness.

It's great if such natural cure could help to ease the sufferings of dengue patients. Furthermore it's so easily available. Just go to market and ask the makcik who sells ulam and they usually have papaya. Blend them and squeeze the juice! It's simple and miraculously effective!!
